Welsh Government has published their Climate Change Annual Report, 2014
The report sets out progress made against their headline commitments on emission reduction and adaptation and summarises some of the key activity that has been taken forward. It sets out that the 3% annual emissions target has been met. However, the findings also underline that whilst progress against the 3% target is within the desired range, further action is required to ensure emission reduction commitments are achieved in subsequent years and to improve our delivery against the 40% target.
The report breaks down emissions and highlights adaptation activity by main sectors. It concludes by summarising the next steps that WG will be taking, by building upon key legislation and delivering in line with key priorities set out in the recent Ministerial Statement on the Climate Change Policy Refresh.
Alongside the Report there is also a Technical Annex, which includes the performance indicators developed for each sector.
