Share your Sustainability Story – apply for the Sustain Wales Awards
The Sustain Wales Awards celebrate sustainability excellence, innovation and leadership across Wales, recognising individuals and organisations that are taking a big innovative step forward in their work, life or community.
At the first Sustain Wales Awards in 2015 we received 70 entries across eight categories. These were short-listed to 26 finalists by our expert panel of judges before going to the public vote where over 5000 votes helped to select our 2015 winners.
Building on the success of our inaugural Awards launched at the Wales Millennium Centre in 2015, we are welcoming nominations and application across the 10 categories below:
-
Sustainability Champion
-
Young Sustainability Champion
-
Sustainable School
-
Sustainable FE/HE Institution
-
Sustainable Venue
-
Sustainable Public Service
-

-

-

This year we are asking applicants to share their sustainability story by completing the simple form online. We want to hear about the inspirational projects and initiatives completed in the last year that tell the story of what you did, who you collaborated with, how you made it happen, what you learnt and how you have made a difference.
Our expert judges will be looking for projects or initiatives completed or launched after May 2015, which demonstrates how you or your organisation is meeting one or more of the seven Well-being Goals, outlined in the Welsh Government’s Well-being of Future Generations Act.
Successful applicants will be short-listed to three finalists per category before going through to a public vote in September.
The winners will be announced at our prestigious Awards ceremony in the Senedd in Cardiff Bay on the evening of the 17 November. The event in the Senedd is being sponsored by Llyr Gruffydd AM.
