12-16 November | #iwillweek 2018
#iwill is a UK-wide campaign aiming to make participation in meaningful social action, like volunteering, campaigning or fundraising, a normal part of life for young people aged between 10-20.
#iwillWeek 2018 runs between 12-16 November and is a fantastic opportunity for businesses in Wales to show their support for youth social action.
Involvement in social action has been shown to create a double benefit – to communities AND young people by helping them to develop their skills and well-being. The #iwill campaign is a cross-party, cross-sector initiative supported by more than 875 influential organisations including Wales Council for Voluntary Action.
Another way to show your support is by creating an #iwill pledge. So far more than 875 influential organisations from across UK society have made tangible commitments to support youth social action. You can find out how to pledge here and find out who the hundreds of other #iwill partners are, here.
There are a number of ways for businesses to pledge to the #iwill campaign, we have listed three simple pledges below:
#iwill inspire and encourage social action by providing opportunities for adult volunteer role models in my business to showcase what they do
#iwill encourage employees to volunteer with organisations that provide more opportunities for young people to be involved in social action
#iwill encourage and support our employees to act as ambassadors for #iwill
