11 April | The Living Wage Employer Experience
In 2016 researchers at Cardiff Business School surveyed 2800 accredited Living Wage Employers from across the UK who have voluntarily agreed to pay the real Living Wage to their employees – currently £9.75 an hour in London and £8.45 in the rest of the UK. This event will launch their report on the employer experience of paying the Living Wage, including the reasons for paying, the business benefits, and the positive effects for low-wage workers. It also provides an opportunity to meet representatives from organizations which promote the Living Wage and employers who have become accredited. Wales has a major problem of low-pay and the event is designed for all those committed to making Wales a Living Wage country.
The event will take place on Tuesday 11th April, 5.30-7.00pm at Cardiff Business School’s Postgraduate Teaching Centre, Colum Drive, Cardiff CF10 3EU.
There is no charge for attending the event and all those attending will receive a complimentary copy of the Cardiff report, The Living Wage – Employer Experience.
