Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water Customer Challenge Group (CCG)

The Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water Customer Challenge Group (CCG) is independently Chaired by Peter Davies with independent secretariat support provided by Cynnal Cymru. This includes producing minutes for the meetings and liaising with the members and Chair of the group to ensure the smooth running of the CCG.

The CCG provides independent challenge, scrutiny and advice to ensure that current and future customers are at the heart of the way Dŵr Cymru operates. This ensures that Dŵr Cymru’s business plans for 2020 to 2025 are developed to meet the needs of their customers.

The CCG is an independent panel of people from across Wales that bring with them knowledge and experience from a variety of backgrounds. As well as providing an independent challenge to Dŵr Cymru, the group provides assurance to Ofwat, one of the regulators of the water industry in the UK.

CCG Members include representatives from organisations with previous experience of representing customers in vulnerable circumstances, Welsh Government, Consumer Council for Water and a variety of businesses and regulatory bodies.

The CCG meets regularly and works with Ofwat to ensure Dŵr Cymru are listening and responding to any concerns that are raised with regards to cost for the customer and the development of the business plans.
