COVID-19: Cynnal Cymru’s Response

Following the recent announcement from the UK Government on the COVID-19 pandemic, Cynnal Cymru has taken the decision for all staff to work from home for the foreseeable future.
The WCVA building in Cardiff Bay (where our office is based) will be closing this week, so communication is limited to online communications or personal mobiles whilst we transition to home working.
Our strength in our network
We recognise that the outbreak of COVID-19 is an exceptional event that is already having an immediate impact on many businesses and organisations across Wales.
As a networking organisation we hope to build on the strength of our members and partners to support each other through these difficult times and we are working on alternative ways for us all to move forward together.
Our training and events
Following recommendations, we have taken the decision to postpone all upcoming face-to-face events and training until further notice.
Our team has been actively exploring ways we can bring our training and events to our audiences digitally and we hope to be able to reschedule some of our events very soon.
We are still hoping to hold our annual Sustainable Academy Awards in November and we will be keeping the situation under constant review.
If you have registered for a paid-for event, we’ll be getting in touch very shortly to offer a refund or the chance to postpone.
We are also thinking about how we support each other and our wider communities through our network and welcome any thoughts or ideas. We plan to set up an online group for our members to enable collaborative action and will share this with you early next week.
