Mike Rann
Hon Mike Rann AC, CNZM, Former Premier of South Australia
From March 2002 and October 2011 Mike Rann was Premier of South Australia and was leader of the South Australian Labor Party for a record 17 years. The Rann Government invested strongly in re-vitalising South Australia’s capital city, Adelaide, through a new approach to planning and urban design undertaking a major “greening” program.

Professor Phil Jones
Chair of Architectural Science, Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University,
Phil Jones is Professor of Architectural Science at the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University. He is chair of the Wales Low Carbon Research Institute and is Acting Director of Cardiff University’s ‘Energy Systems’ University Research Institute (URI).

Herbert Girardet
Herbert Girardet is co-founder of the World Future Council and member of the Club of Rome. He is leading international consultant and a recipient of a UN Global 500 Award ‘for outstanding environmental achievements’. For many years he has focussed on the business and job opportunities of sustainable urban development, and he is often called the world’s leading urban ecologist.
