Cynnal Cymru is recruiting a new Executive Director
Closing date for applications: 11th October 2019
Interview date: 28th October 2019
Cynnal Cymru – Sustain Wales is seeking to appoint a new Director to steer the charity though the next phase of its development as it continues to respond to the global challenge of sustainability. Our current Director steps down after a successful period of restructuring the charity from a wholly government-funded organisation, to one that now generates income from embedding sustainable development at a practical level through its growing membership and via strategic partnership projects that enable collaboration between private, public and third sectors.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead our charity through a new phase of consolidating relationships and income streams, whilst developing new opportunities for growing the organisation and spreading the concept and practice of sustainability more widely in Wales.
If you have relevant experience that you feel will enhance this third sector organisation, if you want to join a small, dynamic and entrepreneurial team, if you are passionate about being part of building a sustainable Wales – culturally, socially, economically and environmentally – then we would love to hear from you.
As a small and innovative charity operating within the WCVA Group, Cynnal Cymru can challenge traditional thinking and promote more sustainable solutions to deliver real change in communities across Wales. We are the real Living Wage accrediting body in Wales, actively working to ensure that fair wages bring an end to in-work poverty.
Our small team delivers wide-reaching work touching on many agendas including climate change and decarbonisation, sustainable travel and air quality, energy and housing, vulnerable customers, in-work poverty, management of natural resources and much more.
We seek an experienced team leader with a track record in developing collaboration, winning and delivering contracts, financial management and creating an enabling environment for colleagues to thrive.
