The Social Enterprise project aims to increase awareness among social enterprises about sustainability, and to highlight the opportunities that sustainable development presents for this sector.
Through the project, the links are made between social enterprises and sustainable development, demonstrating how sustainable development is of relevance to this sector, and how social enterprises can play an important role in achieving a sustainable Wales.
The project forms part of Cynnal Cymru’s wider aim to work with networks to enable action on sustainable development.
In 2010, leadership work being conducted within the sector is being exemplified in order to encourage the uptake of further best practice examples, following two events which were held in 2010 to engage social enterprises.
