Professor Herbert Girardet

Herbert Girardet is co-founder of the World Future Council and member of the Club of Rome. He is leading international consultant and a recipient of a UN Global 500 Award ‘for outstanding environmental achievements’. For many years he has focussed on the business and job opportunities of sustainable urban development, and he is often called the world’s leading urban ecologist. Herbert has developed sustainability policies for cities such as London, Vienna and Adelaide. He is  author of 14 books and 50 environmental TV documentaries for major broadcasters. He lives in Monmouthshire.
