In September 2019 Cardiff University and Cynnal Cymru will host the Sustainable Built Environment Conference – BE19. Bringing together climate and energy researchers, built environment professionals, policy experts and government officials to focus on the transition of energy and low carbon policies into practice.
From January to July 2018 we worked closely with Cardiff Council on their Transport and Clean Air Green Paper.
Stronger Together: Healthy Homes – was the first of its kind, bringing together three key utility companies to discuss how organisations can work together to identify and support the most vulnerable people in society.

Cynnal Cymru worked with the Welsh Government and the former Commissioner for Future Generations, Peter Davies, to help develop and grow Wales’s biggest National Conversation on ‘The Wales We Want’.
Strong Roots is a project to increase the capacity of community and town councils to both lead and support sustainable development and to partner the Welsh Government in its commitment to the development of sustainable, resilient, low-carbon communities.
Culture Shift – How Artists are responding to Sustainability in Wales, is a research report commissioned by the Arts Council of Wales (ACW) : to identify key projects, initiatives, networks and organisations that are part of what is becoming an emerging ‘sector’ within the arts.
Emergence-Eginiad is a partnership initiative co-developed by Cynnal Cymru-Sustain Wales and Volcano Theatre Company to develop a movement for change so that the arts could be seen to lead a necessary process of cultural change.
In partnership with the Climate Outreach and Information Network COIN, Cynnal Cymru developed an interim report on Narratives for Sustainable Development in Wales.
