Promoting Renewable Energy in Wales

09:30am - 04:30pm
6 December - 8 December 2011

RenewableUK is pleased to invite you to take part in one of a programme of three workshops “Promoting Renewable Energy in Wales” to be held in Machynlleth, Newtown and Cardiff during early December.

The workshops will provide an interactive forum to discuss how best to promote and deliver a successful future for wind energy in Wales.  Specific aims are to:

  • Understand the issues that wind energy proponents have as a consequence of the National Grid/ScottishPower Energy Networks transmission infrastructure proposals
  • Agree campaign objectives and achieve a consensus on measures to accomplish them

The workshops are targeted at individuals and organisations with an interest in the future of wind energy in Wales and who wish to make a positive contribution to its development.

The workshops will build on outcomes of the conference on The Future of Renewable Energy in Wales and will allow the development of an action plan to positively promote wind energy in Wales.  Lunch and refreshments will be provided. There is no charge for attendance.

The workshop venues and dates are:

6 December - Centre for Alternative Technology, Machynlleth SY20 9AZ

7 December - Cefn Lea Conference Centre,  Dolfor, Newtown SY16 4AJ

8 December - Thistle Hotel, Park Place, Cardiff CF10 3UD

Please download our Workshop Programme and Booking Form to see full details of the three events including a workshop programme. All those attending will receive a full report of the workshop outcomes and will be kept briefed on future activities and events.
