10 January | Code 150 Event
The code is designed to eliminate modern slavery and support ethical employment practices.
In signing up, organisations agree to comply with 12 commitments designed to eliminate modern slavery.
To commemorate the 150th sign up, Welsh Government will be hosting a celebration event in North Wales
Time: 10:00 – 14:00
Date: Thursday 10 January 2019
Venue: Glyndwr University, Wrexham
This is an opportunity to raise awareness of the code and network with other organisations. Please invite key suppliers as this event is for all sectors!
The event will include:
- a keynote speech from the Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Transport, Ken Skates, and a photo opportunity with code signatories
- a welcome and overview from Special Projects Lead, Sue Hurrell
- an example of what one organisation has done so far to put the code into practice
- a chance to find out what help and support is available for those considering signing up, especially for those considering Living Wage Accreditation
The event is free to attend and lunch will be provided.
