On Friday 14 October Size of Wales will be launching this year’s Go Green Day at the Principality Stadium.
This event will be an opportunity to hear about the latest developments from the Size of Wales project and to find out how their work is helping to protect an area of tropical forest the size of Wales.
Guest speakers include Peter Davies, previous Commissioner for Sustainable Futures and current Chair of Size of Wales, Vaughan Gethin, Cabinet Secretary for Health, Well-being and Sport and Welsh Paralympian and shot put Gold Medal winner, Aled Davies MBE, will also be at the launch to support a cause that’s close to his heart.
In addition the Size of Wales Go Green Champions will be invited to attend and to share some of the fantastic fundraising events that will be happening throughout the day. This includes a special rainforest themed Go Green colouring book, being designed and printed by local Cardiff business Minuteman Press; a ‘Recycled Raffle’ with prizes made from fully recycled materials to be held by Newport City Homes and a green themed day of activities at Cardiff Metropolitan University, included two special lunchtime lectures.
At the event we will be also be selling luxury green socks from Corgi Hosiery based in Ammanford with the map of Wales logo; and so much more!
All money raised will be doubled by Size of Wales and goes directly to the forest projects we work with in Africa and South America.
