04 February | Governance of Wales Citizens’ Assembly

Meet the new First Minister at the Governance of Wales Citizens’ Assembly on 4 February 2019

Hundreds of community leaders from our member organisations across Wales will gather at Cardiff Students’ Union on the evening of February 4th 2019 to meet with the new First Minister of Wales, Mark Drakeford AM, and begin a relationship around the social justice priorities that matter to our members.

We will be asking the new First Minister, will you and your Cabinet work with us on these issues:

We will ask the First Minister if they will meet a Citizens Cymru Wales delegation once a year to review progress on our work together, nominate a senior aide to relate to Citizens Cymru Wales day-to-day, and attend a Citizens Cymru Wales Accountability Assembly ahead of the next election. We will also ask them to share with us their vision for the nation and where they stand on some of the big challenges such as Brexit.

Tickets are free and priority is given to participating member organisations of Citizens Cymru Wales. You can block-book tickets for people from your organisation here. Download the invite pdf here.

This will be the first major opportunity for civil society to engage directly with our new First Minister, to hear his vision and to help shape it towards the breaking of chains and the ending of oppression – so we hope you can join us and bring your community with you on February 4th.
